Description

Hebrew Roots & Patterns

Hebrew, as a Semitic language, had a consonantal alphabet, with words that are derived from three-consonant (sometimes four-consonant) roots. Those roots allow, through a series of suffixes, prefixes and subtle variations of vowel sounds, to craft a large panoply of words with various shades of meaning. Upon encountering a new word, the students are best served when training themselves to identify the three or four letter root and unlock not just the meaning of one single word, but the rainbow of meaning all words containing that root.

This course is recommended for anyone seeking to access the original Hebrew text of the Bible as well as those who are seeking to enrich their modern Hebrew vocabulary.

Class size is limited 10 students to ensure everyone has time for live participation.
